I am trying to connect my Palm Centro to my (newer) Acer Aspire and neither my phone or my laptop will recognize one another. I know for a fact that my phone has bluetooth capabilities and that they are turned on, but when I press the bluetooth button on my laptop it shows a red "x" through the bluetooth symbol.

So my new HP laptop has blue tooth capabilities and it’s wireless too. I have a router on my PC so that is how i get on the internet.
So what exactly is bluetooth for in regards to my laptop?
My car has bluetooth built in to the steering wheel so I can answer my cell phone hands free.

I have a laptop which I use mainly for watching movies, and I’m thinking about upgrading my 2.1 speaker system to one that has bluetooth capabilities (A2DP & AVRCP). No wires around my laptop would make it easier to move around my room. But will I be able to watch movies using the bluetooth-connected speakers with good audio quality?
